Coleman Elementary School, Norfolk, VA
This project is a great example of the entire team working together. The strenuous time schedule and “tightness” of the
site were constant challenges faced by the team and could only be overcome with continuous communication between team members. The support
of John Hodges, the Architect of Record, John Fowler, the Owner’s Engineering and Construction Consultant, Callie Richardson, Coleman
Elementary Principal and the Coleman staff made this possible.
The production team lead by Stephen Bowers, Project Manager, Patti Thrush, Project Manager Assistant, Denny Barlow, Project
Superintendent and Gary Jackson, Quality Control Manager, were able to maintain a high standard of quality through the fast
paced construction with advance preparation and subcontractor coordination during the entire project.
Team work was the Key to Success for this project!
