Eddy Almeda
Tidewater Regional Manager
Eddy's tenure at VIRTEXCO Corporation began in 1984 as Project Superintendent.
Since that time, he has managed and facilitated multiple types of
construction projects. These projects include governmental, industrial,
historical, educational, religious and health care facilities. His
leadership skills have allowed Eddy to further his professional
advancement as a Project Manager. He has shown capability to direct
project administration by providing technical assistance and support
to his team members. As Tidewater Regional Manager, Eddy is committed
to promoting and implementing management policies and procedures
to the production team. He strongly believes in the teamwork approach
and utilizes individual strengths and talents unique to each of
our construction projects. One of the many aspects of his personality
is his ability to select and place individuals in positions wherein
they will succeed.
In his time away from the office, Eddy enjoys boating, fishing and
spending time with his wife of over 19 years, his two wonderful
daughters, additional family and friends. |

Carter Mackey
Richmond Regional Manager
Carter has a Bachelor degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering
from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master’s Degree in Business
Administration from the University of Richmond. Carter has over
12 years of commercial construction experience having managed and
estimated projects in new construction and renovation. He has successfully
delivered projects in sectors including Historic Adaptive Re-use,
Office, Retail, Multi-Family, Educational and Mixed-use. In addition
to his passion for building, Carter enjoys applying his determined
personality to the sport of triathlon. Carter has completed four
Ironman Triathlons and well over 25 marathons.
As Regional Manager, Carter is responsible for the day-to-day operations
of the Richmond Office. With VIRTEXCO having officially established
a “permanent” presence in Richmond over five years ago, Carter’s
duties include hiring good people, regional business development,
procurement and project management. |
